This is a particularly sweet, clean-tasting and elegant specimen of Bai Hao Yin Zhen.

It is expressive, yet very well-mannered.

We were surprised by its high sweetness and by the absence of any impurities in the flavour, which is sometimes noticeable in certain white teas on the market, especially when brewed more strongly.

In both hot and cold brews this Bai Hao Yin Zhen proved to be very fragrant.

In addition, we were delighted to see that the tea plants have grown in a remarkably clean garden located in Zhenghe, Fujian province. Considering the quality of the tea and the prestige of the producer, the price we obtained for this white tea represented particularly good value that was not to be missed.

    BAI HAO YIN ZHEN

Bai Hao Yin Zhen (白毫銀針) means White Hair Silver Needle. Among white teas, this is considered the most precious and sought-after variety. Its production is reserved for the youngest, most delicate buds of the Camellia sinensis plant, making it a true expression of purity and refinement. All tea lovers claim to love this white tea !
I addition, it is high in active polyphenols.

A Bai Hao Yin Zhen ages beautifully : it undergoes flavor transformation, and scientific studies have also found positive changes in certain bioactive properties as it ages.

    • During the first three years, its fresh floral character and delicate aromas of downy buds gradually soften, giving way to gentler herbal notes and a subtle sweetness.
    • Beyond the three-year mark, Bai Hao Yin Zhen develops greater depth and complexity, with flavours of dried fruit accompanied by a delicate woody warmth. Many tea enthusiasts consider around seven years to be a point at which it reaches a particularly harmonious maturity and reveals its full potential.

You must store the white tea in a sealed, dry, dark, cool, and odor-free environment. The lovely box provided with this tea is designed exactly for that purpose.
